Congratulations Callie Menard, grand prize winner of the 2017 My Sleigh Ride with Santa Drawing Contest!
We had so many great entries in this year's drawing contest, and the winners will all ride in the Elf Parade. We're really proud of all the kids who entered, and thanks so much - you are all so creative!
Evangelist Kendra Carr-Pineda was our Special Musical Guest in 2018
We have a very special musical guest at this year's Elf Parade, Evangelist Kendra Carr-Pineda! Kendra will be performing from the Winterfest stage just before the arrival of Santa Claus to get everybody ready and in the spirit!
Free Holiday Fun for Families Begins November 29, 2019
The Elf Parade is a grand kickoff to the 2019 holiday season in downtown Pensacola! The Parade Grand Marshall leads the merry crew of kids, parents, toys, and characters from the old Escambia County Courthouse to Plaza Wonderland at Palafox and Government Streets. Costumed kids of all ages march alongside an alligator "second line" brass band, Santa, and our characters from stops in the Winterfest Performance Tour. The six-block route takes about 20 minutes, and includes a Christmas song battle, tumbling snowflakes, and plenty of cheer.
This year, the skies will be brighter than ever for the First City Lights festival kickoff after the Elf Parade... with fireworks! Join Santa, gospel singer Evangelist Kendra Carr-Pineda and a host of Christmas characters to celebrate the start of the season with a bang!

But First, Contests and the Line-Up!
The line-up begins at 3:30pm at the old Escambia County Courthouse at the corner of Palafox and Government Streets. There will be treats and music, as well as a welcome from Santa Claus.
Make the Best Costumes, Strollers, Wagons, and Ears
Where elves gather, contests for the best ears, the best costume, stroller, and wagon are soon to follow! Find your section to have a chance at the prize and a place of honor during the opening ceremony.
The Ugly Sweater Contest Returns in 2019!
Make sure your festive ugly Christmas sweater gets the respect it deserves! We'll be awarding prizes in men, women, and coordinated families for the Ugly Sweater contest. All these sweaters marching together in the parade is going to be an amazing sight. We had some great competitors in 2018, so we're excited to see what this year holds.
At 5pm, the parade arrives at Plaza Wonderland for a musical revue of your Winterfest favorites, where Mayor Augustus Maywho and the Grinch will light the grand Christmas Tree and Santa will call the first snowfall of the season. Winners of the parade contests will be awarded, and special guests will sing songs to welcome the Christmas spirit to Pensacola. After the show, Winterfest 2019 officially begins with the reindeer games and Performance Tour. Stop in for a snack at the Gingerbread House, or visit Santa in his sleigh starting at 6pm.
