See you in 2021!
We had such fun sharing Christmas cheer with thousands of folks on last year’s tours, and we can’t wait to be back with friends old and new. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation, Winterfest has made the difficult decision to cancel the Pensacola Elf Parade and Opening Ceremony in 2020. We will continue this fun-filled tradition in 2021. Be sure to stay updated on our other 2020 events and activities! We WILL have other ways to celebrate the season this year.

Free Holiday Fun for Families Begins November 27, 2020
The Elf Parade is usually a grand kickoff to the 2020 holiday season in downtown Pensacola! Due to the COVID-19 situation, Winterfest has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Elf Parade, however there will still be other fun events to participate in this year!
Next year, the skies will be brighter than ever for the First City Lights festival kickoff after the Elf Parade... with fireworks! Join Santa and a host of Christmas characters to celebrate the start of the season with a bang!
But First, Contests and the Line-Up!
The line-up begins at 3:30pm at the old Escambia County Courthouse at the corner of Palafox and Government Streets. There will be treats and music, as well as a welcome from Santa Claus.
Make the Best Costumes, Strollers, Wagons, and Ears
Where elves gather, contests for the best ears, the best costume, stroller, and wagon are soon to follow! Find your section to have a chance at the prize and a place of honor during the opening ceremony.
The Ugly Sweater Contest Returns in 2021!
Make sure your festive ugly Christmas sweater gets the respect it deserves! We'll be awarding prizes in men, women, and coordinated families for the Ugly Sweater contest. All these sweaters marching together in the parade is going to be an amazing sight. We had some great competitors in 2018, so we're excited to see what next year holds.
At 5pm, the parade arrives at Plaza Wonderland for a musical revue of your Winterfest favorites, where Mayor Augustus Maywho and the Grinch will light the grand Christmas Tree and Santa will call the first snowfall of the season. Winners of the parade contests will be awarded, and special guests will sing songs to welcome the Christmas spirit to Pensacola. After the show, Winterfest 2021 officially begins with the reindeer games and Performance Tour. Stop in for a snack at the Gingerbread House, or visit Santa in his sleigh starting at 6pm.
